Top AI scientist Andrej Karpathy, who joined Anthropic last month, has been barred from accessing company's most powerful AI models, Claude Fable and Mythos 5, after US government's restrictions. Karpathy, a Slovak-Canadian researcher, lost access because he doesn't have US citizenship. Anthropic has been directed to restrict the models' access for foreign nationals within and outside US.
