US-based AI company Anthropic sued the US government for designating it a "supply-chain risk to national security" after it refused to remove safeguards on its Claude model to enable unrestricted military use. Anthropic denied letting its model be used for mass domestic surveillance and fully autonomous weapons. US President Donald Trump had earlier blacklisted Anthropic from federal usage.
