In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Anupama Chopra recalled some of Film Companion's guests after its closing. She said, "Nawazuddin Siddiqui was the first person to call and say 'I want to be on Film Companion'. Shah Rukh Khan was unlike anybody else." She further talked about why she shut down Film Companion and her next venture.
