Asked whether he would prefer a black, red or mixed-soil pitch for the T20 World Cup 2026 final against New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India captain Suryakumar Yadav said, "Any soil is fine." He added that India have played on both surfaces throughout the tournament and have performed well on each.
