Apple bought Barcelona-based Vilynx, an AI-powered video analysis startup for $50 million earlier this year, reported Bloomberg. Vilynx's team of 50 engineers and data scientists also reportedly joined Apple and the startup's Barcelona office will become one of Apple's AI research hubs in Europe. Vilynx's software uses AI to analyse all components of a video to understand what it shows.
