Apple overtook Samsung to sell the most smartphones during the fourth quarter of 2020, according to data released by market research firm Gartner on Monday. The report added that this is the first time Apple has topped the smartphone market since 2016. The launch of the 5G iPhone 12 series triggered a double-digit growth for Apple, the report said.
