Apple has introduced global age-verification tools to help developers comply with expanding child safety laws. The updated Declared Age Range API, now in beta, enables apps to confirm age categories and assurance methods. From 2026, stricter rules in Australia, Brazil, Singapore, Utah, and Louisiana will restrict 18-plus downloads and require age verification and parental consent for some updates.
