Apple lost its top AI executive, Ruoming Pang, as he joined Meta's newly formed Superintelligence Labs, a division focused on developing artificial general intelligence (AGI), reports stated. Pang had led Apple Intelligence features like Genmoji, Priority Notifications, and on-device summarisation. Meta earlier hired Scale AI's Alexandr Wang, and GitHub former-CEO Nat Friedman for its new team.
