Apple has appointed 30-year veteran Frank Casanova as the company's first-ever head of marketing for augmented reality (AR). Casanova has helped Apple strike deals with carriers to promote its iPhones since launch and develop older Apple products like the QuickTime video player. This comes alongside reports that Apple is planning a 3D-based AR camera for its iPhones in 2020.
