Apple's Senior VP of Services Eddy Cue said the iPhone maker is "actively looking at" bringing AI-powered search engines to Safari. He stated that Apple has already had discussions with Perplexity, OpenAI and Anthropic. Shares of Google, which pays Apple around $20 billion a year to make Chrome the default search engine on Safari, dipped 7.3% after the news.
