Apple is pushing suppliers to adopt robotics in manufacturing to cut labour reliance, standardise quality, and expand production beyond China, reports stated. The automation mandate spans all major product categories, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Watch. It expects the suppliers to fund their own automation upgrades, rather than relying on Apple to finance or subsidise the capital equipment.
