Apple's bid to halt Google Search monopoly trial in US rejected

Apple's emergency request to halt the Google Search monopoly trial has been rejected by US District Court Judge Amit Mehta. Apple reportedly fears that the trial could dismantle a deal under which Google pays around $20 billion yearly to be the default search engine in Apple's Safari browser. Last year, Mehta ruled that Google has an illegal monopoly on search.
