Apple spent roughly $100 billion on research and development (R&D) over the last five years, according to a report by Finbold. The company's R&D spending increased from $14.24 billion in 2018 to $26.25 billion in 2022, showing an 84.33% jump. The spending reached $21.91 billion last year, crossing the $20 billion mark for the first time, the report noted.
