Apple sued for $2.7 bn in UK over app activity tracking restrictions

App developers in UK sued Apple for $2.7 billion over its 'App Tracking Transparency' feature which allows users to restrict third-party apps from tracking their activity. The lawsuit said the feature imposes strict requirements on third-party app developers giving Apple's own advertising ecosystem a competitive advantage. Apple earlier said the feature provides "important ⁠privacy protections".
