Finland-based Salcomp, which supplies chargers to Apple for its iPhones, will invest ₹2,000 crore in India to make mobile chargers and other equipment from March 2020, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said. Salcomp will take over a facility in Chennai, which was previously owned by Nokia. The company will make the investment in a span of five years, Prasad added.
