Apple is set to open a new retail store in downtown Los Angeles at the historic Tower Theatre location. The Tower Theatre was Los Angeles' first to be wired for motion pictures with sound as well as to offer air conditioning. The restoration of the roughly 100-year-old theatre involved artisans repairing, painting, and polishing each surface by hand, Apple said.
