Apple unveiled several updates to the "cornerstones of macOS design" at WWDC 2026. A new, more consistent toolbar design will be applied across all apps, while sidebars will extend to the edges of the screen to reduce visual distractions in the corners. Apple is also standardising window design, giving every macOS window the same tighter corner radius.
