Mohammad Islam survived a near-fatal collapse after his Apple Watch automatically detected his fall and called 911. Paramedics reached him within minutes and doctors later found dangerous blood clots in his lungs. Islam, whose wife was away when he collapsed, credited the smartwatch and emergency responders with saving his life. His daughters had gifted him the device.
