The first logo of Apple, designed by Apple's third Co-founder Ronald Wayne in 1976, depicts Sir Isaac Newton sitting under a tree with an apple dangling over his head. The phrase on the logo's outside border reads, “Newton… A Mind Forever Voyaging Through Strange Seas of Thought … Alone.”
