ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India has received approval from the Odisha government to set up a 24 million tonnes-a-year steel plant in the Kendrapara district. The facility will produce steel using the latest green steel-making technology and will also produce 18.75 million tonnes of cement annually. The company will invest ₹1.02 lakh crore which will create direct employment for 16,000 people.
