Arctic is losing its ice cover again: Study

A new study found that slowdown in Arctic sea ice loss had ended, with sea ice falling by 5.8% between 2024 and 2025, marking the biggest winter decline on record. Researchers also found that Arctic sea ice had halved since 1979. They warned that continued ice loss caused by global warming could affect weather patterns worldwide and future climate stability.
