Ford and Volkswagen-backed autonomous vehicle startup Argo AI has laid off 78 workers in Austin, according to a government notice. The layoffs came days after the startup announced that it would shut down. Argo had said many of its employees would get an opportunity to work with either Ford or Volkswagen, while others would be laid off.
