Indian Army has issued a tender to Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) to procure six high-firing multi-barrel AK-630 30mm air defence guns for deployment near the Pakistan border, ANI reported. The gun system will reportedly be mounted on a trailer and towed by a high-mobility vehicle, and is designed to counter threats from UAVs, rockets, artillery, and mortars.
