A new study revealed that Arrokoth, a distant object in the Kuiper Belt, contains complex organic molecules, including sugars. NASA's New Horizons spacecraft, which passed Arrokoth in 2019, noted its reddish colour. Researchers stated this reddish hue is due to the presence of glucose and other sugars on its surface and that its nickname 'sugar world' is apt.
