Art thief jailed for 3 years, rare 17th-century map still missing

A 70-year-old art thief, Melvin West, has been jailed for three years after cutting a rare 17th-century world map from a historic atlas using a Stanley knife. The map, one of only three known copies, remains missing. A UK court rejected his plea for more time, condemning repeated broken promises to return the priceless artefact.
