US President-elect Donald Trump said Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum "has agreed to stop migration through Mexico...into the US, effectively closing [US'] southern border". Sheinbaum confirmed she discussed migration issues with Trump, who had earlier threatened to impose 25% tax on goods coming from Mexico, over illegal migration issue. Sheinbaum had warned him about retaliatory tariffs.
