Asaram booked for returning 17 hrs late to Jodhpur jail

Convict Asaram faces a fresh FIR under the Prisons Act after returning to Jodhpur Central Jail nearly 17 hours past his surrender deadline following medical parole. He spent the night at a private hospital after jail authorities denied him entry at night and surrendered on Wednesday morning. The Supreme Court had earlier rejected his plea to extend parole.
