NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine has said India's anti-satellite (ASAT) missile test created 400 pieces of orbital debris and led to new dangers for astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). "That is a terrible, terrible thing," Bridenstine added. However, he said ISS astronauts are still safe, and that the space station will be manoeuvred if needed to avoid the debris.
