Asha Bhosle posthumously honoured with Mohsin-e-Urdu award for promoting Urdu

Asha Bhosle, who died on April 12, has been posthumously conferred the Mohsin-e-Urdu Award by the Mumbai-based Urdu Markaz for promoting Urdu language through music. The body cited her iconic songs like 'Dil Cheez Kya Hai' and 'Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu'. Advocate Zubair Azmi said the award was announced in January 2026 and she had agreed to accept it.
