The National Zoological Park in Delhi announced that three Asiatic lion cubs were born to lion couple Maheshwar and Mahagauri on Tuesday. It added that the newborn cubs are under "constant care of their mother" and monitored by animal care teams. The newborn cubs along with the six Asiatic lions at the zoo take their total population to nine.
