Responding to an RTI petition, Haryana's Forest Department said that a kilometre long stretch of land in Haryana may be declared as an eco-sensitive zone (ESZ) for Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. Despite the move, almost 90% of the Aravalli hills which are under threat will remain outside the ESZ including ecological spots like Mangar Bani forests and Damdama Lake.
