Assam CM and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma has won from the Jalukbari seat with more than 1.12 lakh votes in the state Assembly election. Himanta, who has been Assam CM since 2021, defeated Congress leader Bidisha Neog by a margin of over 80,000 votes. Under Himanta's leadership, BJP has aimed for a third consecutive term in the state.
