Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state’s three per cent job reservation for the tea garden community has ensured dignity and representation. Over 5,500 government jobs were filled, benefiting many tea families. He also highlighted land rights for nearly three lakh workers and safeguards against exploitation, along with reserved MBBS seats to promote long-term social upliftment.
