The Assam government and All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) held key talks to review Assam Accord implementation based on the Biplab Kumar Sarma Committee report. A roadmap covering 52 state-linked recommendations was agreed upon, with Cabinet sub-committee also to be formed. AASU also sought tripartite talks with Centre on 15 central recommendations, which CM Himanta Biswa Sarma agreed to pursue.
