Assam minister announces mushroom farming boost on National Mushroom Day

Assam Agriculture Minister Pijush Hazarika, on National Mushroom Day, announced two spawn production units per district at Rs 10 lakh each and 200 mushroom processing units statewide. He also plans Rs 1 lakh grants for 1,000 progressive farmers and exposure training trips. Separately, he warned officials and oil palm companies against project delays.
