Assam Health Minister Ashok Singhal has directed officials to provide Caesarean section (C-section) services in every Assembly constituency to improve maternal care. He also placed the Health Department on high alert amid worsening floods, ordering emergency medical teams, health camps, adequate medicine stocks and measures to prevent waterborne disease outbreaks.
