Assam government has launched ‘Mission Bhumiputra’, which aims to issue digital caste certificates to students across the state. The certificates will be available in the DigiLocker under the IT Act. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Bhumiputra portal at a programme and lauded the mission. “Manual system of issuing caste certificates will be discontinued in Assam,” said Sarma.
