Scientists at the Center for Astrophysics have observed a rare binary star which is believed to have outlived the universe. "We have observed the first physical proof of a new binary star," said Kareem El-Badry, the researcher credited with the discovery. In theory, these stars are called Extremely Low Mass (ELM) white dwarves formed 13.8 billion years ago.
