At least 176 people have died in flash floods in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. "This toll is provisional. We also have about 100 people missing," South Kivu Governor Theo Ngwabidje said. Torrential rain in South Kivu province caused a river to overflow on Thursday and led to significant damage in villages of Bushushu and Nyamukubi, the government said.
