As many as 300 current employees at TikTok and its parent company ByteDance previously worked for Chinese state media publications, as per a report. The report added that 15 of these employees currently work for both organisations. Meanwhile, a ByteDance spokesperson said that the company "does not allow employees to hold second or part-time jobs or any outside business activity".
