Athens' 17th century Fethiye Mosque to open to public

The Ottoman-era 17th-century Fethiye Mosque in Greece's Athens is set to open to the public in November. The mosque will reportedly be used for temporary events. It was built on the ruins of a Byzantine-era Christian basilica, but the structure was replaced in the 17th century. Athens is believed to be the only EU capital without an official mosque.
