Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima was codenamed 'Little Boy'

The world's first atomic bomb dropped by an American B-29 bomber plane on the Japanese city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 was codenamed as 'Little Boy' by the US. Around 1.4 lakh people were killed in the blast. There were 90,000 buildings in Hiroshima before the bomb was dropped but only 28,000 remained after the explosion.
