Leaked internal documents showed that high attrition levels across its global consumer field operations were costing Amazon an estimated $8 billion annually. The documents claim that workers are twice as likely to leave by choice, rather than because they were fired. It showed that in 2021, only a third of new hires stayed with Amazon for more than 90 days.
