The first week of August is celebrated as World Breastfeeding Week in more than 120 countries to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. It was first celebrated in 1992 by World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA). The theme for this year's World Breastfeeding Week is - Empower Parents, Enable Breastfeeding: Now and for the future!
