Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles has said that the country will not ban Russian tourists as part of sanctions imposed on Russia amid the Ukraine war. He said that the sanctions were aimed at the Russian government and "not the Russian people themselves". "Our objective is to empower Ukraine itself...this needs to be resolved on their terms," he further said.
