The Australian Medical Association (AMA) called for a ban on boxing on Tuesday following boxer Davey Browne Jr's death on Monday after he was knocked unconscious in a regional boxing title match in Sydney on Friday. The 28-year-old was knocked out 30 seconds into the final round against Philippines' Carlo Magali. Later he collapsed and was hospitalised in critical condition.
