Australian pilot turns rocky land into green coral island in 50 yrs

Australian pilot Don Adams visited the rocky, barren Lady Elliot Island in 1969 and planted many trees, transforming it into a green coral haven. Adams also supplied barrels of fresh water to the island and continued his efforts until his death in 2019. The island saw increase in seabirds numbers, which led to faster coral growth.
