Predicting a sharp decline, author Saurabh Mukherjea believes Rupee will slide toward 100 in 2026 or 2027. While this helps exporters and manufacturers bypass 50% US tariffs, it will crush the middle class. With the cost of living doubling every 8 years and salaries only growing at 5-6%, Mukherjea stated that real-term salaries are shrinking by 4% a year.
