Avast selling user data to Google, Microsoft, others for millions: Report

Anti-virus software Avast has been selling users' data to companies including Google, Microsoft and IBM, sometimes for millions of dollars, a joint report by Motherboard and PCMag revealed. The data was collected by Avast while its subsidiary, Jumpshot, repackaged it to sell to the companies. Sold data reportedly includes Google searches, Google Maps and data on people visiting porn websites.
