Athlete Avinash Sable set a new national record in men's 3000-metre steeplechase, with a timing of 8:20.20 at the Federation Cup at National Institute of Sports in Patiala on Wednesday. The 26-year-old broke his previous record of 8:21.37 set in October 2019 at the World Athletics Championships in Doha, where he also qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.
